In Opposition to DuPage Zoning Amendments T-3-10

One of the fundamental principles of American democracy is that our government must treat all faiths equally. Government at any level may not favor any religion over others, regardless of the type of religion, of how many practitioners it has, or how long it has been active in a particular area.

The proposed T-3-10 Text Amendments to the DuPage County Zoning Ordinance violates this principle in a major way. It would forbid the construction of any new places of worship in unincorporated residential areas, yet allow ones that are already established to remain.

Therefore, we, the undersigned, stand in opposition to these amendments.
