BECOME AN ELECTION JUDGE

Qualifications:

• be a citizen of the United States

• be a registered voter in DuPage County

• be of good repute and character

• be able to speak, read and write the English language

• be skilled in the four fundamental rules of arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division)

• be of good understanding and capable

The duties include signing in registered voters, explaining voting procedure and use of voting equipment, providing ballots, and monitoring the conduct of the election. In Illinois, they also register unregistered voters on election day.

Election judges are registered by elected PCs. The term is two years.
